Achievement:
Following a model based design, Stray Current Analysis was carried out to be a reference for design and construction of floating earthing and bonding system for GCLR. The proposed return circuit has been mathematically modeled and all interface parameters were influenced to get the system performance data and dynamic interactions. Level of impact, severity of pollution and evalution for mitigation systems were some of the results as a reference to proceed on designing the track works, the floating E&BS system and SCM.

Achievement:
Floating E&BS for GCLR can not 100% guarantee the electrified railway asset and all surrounding structure will be immunised against Stray Current attack. So, a distributed SCM has been adapted throughout entire alignment to obsevre any possible insulation failures and current leakage. Measuring the Stray Current directly is almost impossible and inaccurate. Therefore, algorithm like discovring the deep point of the voltage profile and similar has been developed to pick up on time voltage curves and compare it with the reference data for discrepancy.
